1. How does Athene actually give peace to the city of Ithaca? …2. Why does antinous's father try to take revenge on Oddyseus even though Odyssues killed antinous for a very good reason, his crime would have made the gods angry?

1) If Odysseus goes through so many challenges to build his reputation, would it not make more sense for Odysseus to gain the trust of his people again rather than Athene whipe the citizens memory? 2) Is there a purpose for the telling of the suitors souls descending into Hades?

1. What do the suitors' parents think happen to their sons after Athena makes them forget what happened? 2. Why would the gods trick Penelope into thinking Odysseus was home?

1.Why does Penelope still double that whether the man is her husband Odyssues, even her son, Eurameas and Eurycleia all told her he is Odyssues? 2.Why did Homer mention the scene that Agamemnon and Achilles meet the soul of the suitors?

How does Penelope sleep through Odysseus killing everyone? Was Penelope clever for using the bed as a test to prove it was really Odysseus?
