1. Why doesnt Telemachus and Oddysseus go straight home to Ithaca? …2. Is the reason telemachus sends nestors son to Ithaca to stop Penelope from marrying one of the suitors?

1.Why does Athena choose to reveal Odysseus's identity to Telemachus the was she does? 2. Why couldn't one of the gods just stop the messenger from alerting all the suitors of Telemachus's return so that Odysseus could just take back his home?

1) Is the fact that Athena helping Odysseus a testament to his heavenly renown, and is it an example of his cunning? 2) Is Odysseus revealing himself to his son a symbol that he has a "soft spot" for his family, or does it mean that he his confident in abilities and planning?

1)Why did Penelope's father and brothers press her to wed Eurymachus? Did that reflect that in Greek society,the statue of weman are still way lower than men, even there's many powerful goddess? 2)Did Penelope know what Melantho has done?

1) From the text, is it assumed that if Odysseus had not made Poseidon mad he would have traveled to Egypt? 2) Also, following the ideology of the Greeks inviting strangers into their homes and making connections with the guest, and assuming that the suitors at one time or another have met and shared a meal with Odysseus, how do these suitors not reckonize Odysseus simply from his speaking patterns and mannerism?
