1. If Odysseus is remembered best for his intelligence, why does he continuously push himself and his crew farther from their end goal of arriving back at home? (Ex. going into the cyclops cave) 2. Is giving into temptations a detrimental trait prevalently seen in Odysseus or just all mortals in general? (Ex. living in luxury in Circe for a year before thinking about leaving for home)

1. Why are the gods in such disagreement on what to with Odysseus? It just seems like they all want different things to happen to him? 2. Why does Odysseus continue to bring harm upon him and his crew by angering the cyclops even after they have escaped?

1) Why does Odysseus have Demodocus sing of the events of the Trojan War if he is only going to weep to them? 2) If Odysseus's men don't want to stay with him and Circe, why don't they just leave without him?

1. Why doesnt Oddyseus go straight home to Ithaca, instead he goes to Circe and now he is off to Hades? 2. Why does Oddyseus send his men into circe not knowing what is going to happen? He is the only reason there still alive. Why risk there lives?

1. Why Odysseus didn't keep on the alert that his crew always do something that make the things worse after a lot of similiar experience? 2. Why Odysseus still stayed on the land of the dead for a long time listening people's stories, since his mother has told him leaving as soon as possible?

1. If Odysseus is such an intelligent man, then why does he not warn his crew of the possible dangers. (eating the fruit that makes them forgetful) 2. Why are the gods making it difficult for Odysseus to reach his end goal?

Why doesn't Posiedon just kill Odysseus directly rather than conjuring up storms and other obstacles if he wants him dead for blinding his son?
