1. Is Odysseus's flaw that he is too prideful, or is it actually seeded in some other trait?
2. Is the fact that Odysseus's son is weak a allusion to the fact that his father is still alive? I ask this because usually humans replace the old with the new, but only after the old becomes outdated, and because Odysseus is not outdated yet he cannot be replaced.

1. Knowing the history of the gods and their treachery, why did Athene not go behind Poseidon and Zeus to assist Odyessus? 2. Following the history of treachery, did Calypso follow Poseidon's order to assist Odysseus or did she keep Odysseus for her own purposes?
