1) Why didn't king Lear leave some fortune with himself that he would have no necessity to live with his daughters? 2) Did Cordelia really leave Britain to France and marry king of France? Was she still around his father, since she seemed knew that her sisters may not treat their father very well?

1. Why does King Lear make his daughters profess their love for him if Cornelia is his favorite already? 2. Could Edmund really take what is rightfully his even if Edgar was out of the way?

1)If Cordelia is King Lear's favorite daughter, why is he so quick to disown her for being honest? 2)Now that Cordelia's sisters have what they want from their father, why don't they just tell him they do not want him to live with them instead of being rude? Especially since he said he would always keep his word?

2) King Lear took his daughter's disrespect rather well, kings usually don't accept disrespect that, and so why does he take it so well?
